Wedding Packages

We can accommodate last minute bookings, but suggest booking your wedding at least 60 days prior to your requested ceremony date and time to ensure the space is available.

A 50% deposit is required to book all weddings. The remainder will be due four weeks before the date of the wedding. If the wedding date is less than eight weeks from time of booking, full payment is required.

Cancelations:

Bookings, deposits, and payments are final and non-refundable. An exchange for another date is acceptable once properly communicated with 2 weeks’ notice.

If you are arriving on a cruise ship and it is unable to dock because of bad weather, you will receive a full refund, minus the $300 paid for licensing fees if applicable.

The following requirements apply to getting married in Jamaica:

• Proof of citizenship by providing a certified copy of the birth certificate of each party containing the father’s name.
• Parent’s written consent if a party is under 18 years of age.
• Proof of divorce if applicable (original certificate of divorce).
• Certified copy of a death certificate for widows or widowers.
• A blood test is NOT required.
• Only a marriage officer licensed in Jamaica can legally marry a couple. An officiant of the couple’s choice may conduct the ceremony, but a local marriage officer must be present to sign the marriage form and make the official marriage pronouncement. Marriage officers can also provide witnesses for the ceremony.
• Italian Nationals must notify their embassy and have a certified copy of their marriage certificate forwarded to their embassy to be legalized and translated.
• French Canadians need a notarized translated copy of all documents and a photocopy of the original French documents.
• Any documents in any language other than English must be translated and the translations certified.

All documents must be emailed to us 30 days prior to the wedding date. If your wedding date is in less than 30 days, please contact us. Please bring these documents with you, along with a valid photo ID and your ship boarding card (if you are arriving on a cruise ship), on the day of your wedding.

Please note: You must be in Jamaica 48 hours before the date of the marriage in order to get married legally. This means if you come on a Friday, you can get married on Sunday.

**This does NOT apply to cruise ship passengers who are in Jamaica for just a few hours. You just need to bring your ship boarding pass, along with the other paperwork listed above, and you can be married legally even though you are in the country for just a few hours.

Marriage Certificate:

During the wedding the couple will be required to sign three Marriage Registers, in addition to the signature of their witnesses (two will be provided, in the event the couple does not have their own), and the Minister’s signature. The Minister will then give the couple one of the Marriage Registers known as the Bridal copy and the other two will be used to apply for their Marriage Certificate. This is a legal document with a raised seal and the Jamaican Coat of Arms and is legal worldwide.

This Certificate takes some time to be processed and will be mailed to the couple, usually between 12 – 16 weeks.

Please provide the wedding coordinator with a proper address to send the document.

Additional Property Rules

• The music system is only to be used by Bamboo Beach Club staff. A microphone will be provided for the pastor to use in the ceremony. If you wish to have an MC, either a Bamboo Beach Club staff member or someone you bring on your own, it needs to be agreed upon and discussed in writing in advance
• Weddings cannot exceed the specified and agreed upon time, including both serving time and time allocated on the property.
• Hosting your wedding at Bamboo Beach Club is not a property rental or property takeover. Bamboo Beach Club will be open to the public during the time of the event. Therefore, we request that you and your guests be considerate to other guests while conducting your event.
• A guest list must be provided with full names, age and nationality of each guest who will attend the wedding. Guests must present a valid ID upon entry to the property. You are responsible and liable for the actions of your guests, including reimbursing Bamboo Beach Club for any damages that may occur, and you must ensure that your guests follow all property rules and policies.
• Persons that are not on the guest list will not be allowed in the property. If there are any other persons, whether service providers, professionals, or trapersonnel of any sort, this must be negotiated separately and agreed upon in advance in writing. Any non-guest must present a valid ID as well. Bamboo Beach Club will make copies of IDs of all non-guests and service providers.
• Customization of different packages offered – We welcome any idea to customize our offered packages. However, reducing items from the offered packages will not change the original package price.
• All caterings and amenities are arranged by the property management and staff. We do not allow outside caterers to facilitate any wedding on the property.
